ESTHER WRATSCHKO SOLO
© Shendl Copitman
The Viennese singer and musician is currently working on her debut solo album, Fli, mayn foygl—a conceptual work exploring detachment, the search for identity, and liberation from self-imposed chains. Deeply rooted in the Yiddish song tradition, she weaves personal stories with sensitive lyricism and innovative soundscapes. With her voice, piano, accordion, and synthesizer, she creates a musical web where the past and present merge. Tradition and modernity engage in a compelling dialogue, offering profound insights into the soul of an artist who pushes boundaries and redefines her own voice.
For the album, she collaborates with several musicians who contribute to both the live performances and the recording, including Fabian Pollack (acoustic & electric guitar) and Lili Weinhandl (cello).
